FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you accept walk-ins?
Currently, we are by appointment only, so we are able to prepare for a every visit properly.
  • Do I need a prescription from a doctor in order to receive physical therapy treatment?
No. The state of Arizona allows for direct patient access, which means a doctor's referral is not needed to be seen for physical therapy services. As Doctors of Physical Therapy, we have the tools required to treat injuries and conditions without prior intervention of a medical doctor/physician. If we determine that the attention of a medical doctor is needed, we will refer you to your primary medical doctor for follow up.
  • What should I wear?
Patients should wear comfortable clothing and footwear that allows them to move freely while exercising. Ideally, patients should wear clothing that allows for easy access to the treatment area.
  • How much does a physical therapy session cost?
Your physical therapist will discuss visit prices and options during your in-take call. Additional cost will be determined based on the proposed treatment plan set in place by your physical therapist.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that sometimes in life things can happen and cause your plans to change and that is understandable! Just let us know 24 hours ahead of time before your appointment and no cancellation fee will be applied. This will allow us to have enough time to schedule another client and help them get the treatment that they need. If you cancel for any reason less than 24 hours before your appointment or you simply do not show up, then a cancellation fee of 100% of the visit will be charged. These fees cannot be applied to future sessions and are non-refundable.
  • What if I’m running late for my appointment?
Please contact us so we are not worrying about you. However, if you arrive after the 15 minute grace period, you will need to reschedule your appointment. This will also be considered a no-show and you will be charged a late non-refundable cancellation/no-show fee. We respect and place a high value on your time as a patient, therefore, we expect that same level of respect in return.
  • How can I refer my friends and family?
We greatly appreciate referrals and we take them as a compliment of the highest level! You can have them reach out directly through our website and we will make sure to schedule an intake call with them as soon as possible.
  • Do you take insurance?
The good news is that we don't take insurance. Why is this good news? Let us ask you a few questions that will help to explain why: 1. Would you rather be treated by a physical therapist 1-on-1 for a full hour OR be treated by a physical therapist who is treating 2-4 other patients simultaneously with a large majority of your treatment session carried out by aids or assistants (doing exercises you could just be doing at home)? 2. Would you rather travel to and from the clinic 1x/week OR 2-3x/week? 3. Would you rather be seen for 5-10 visits OR 20-30 visits? 4. Would you rather be treated with a full body approach OR strictly focus on the area that's experiencing pain? Due to the fact that we don't take insurance we are able to provide 1-on-1 hour long treatments with a full body approach. This ultimately means that our patients only have to come in once a week, for 6-10 visits to get back to running, working out, or any other activities that they are wanting to get back to. All of our patients do have insurance and will typically receive between 50-80% reimbursement depending on their insurance and if they have met their deductible. We provide all of our patients with a "superbill" with all the information they need as well as an app that will take care of relaying on this "superbill" and communicating with the insurance company, so our patients don't have to.
  • What services does RTS Physiotherapy provide?

  • Can I book an appointment online?
Prior to scheduling your visit, we prefer to set up a phone conference with you to make sure your needs are a good fit here at RTS Physio. We also want to use this time to get a better understanding of your circumstances so we can better prepare for your first visit. Following your initial in-person session, your physical therapist will discuss with you scheduling and future visits with you.
